The 4 houses are on a gently sloping hillside below the village of  Maroulas where in recent years several private holiday homes have been built, because of the beautiful views of the coast and the Aegean Sea.
The terrain is terraced so every house has it's own property and well-kept old gardens of different styles.
There are not only ornamental plants but also bilberries, rosemary, thyme, oregano, basil and other aromatic herbs, and their scent fills the air everywhere around the villas.

Many old trees are standing on the terrain and gave their names to the four houses.
In the topmost place there is Villa Portocalia which is the Greek word for "orange tree". Then comes Villa Amygdalia which means "almond tree".
The third house is named Villa Rodia which means "pomegranate tree", and on the lowermost property there is Villa Elia, the Greek word for "olive tree".

Each property includes a 30 square meters private swimming pool which is framed by a sun terrace.
Sunshades and deck chairs are available, and each house has a wheeled barbecue.
The garden furniture and umbrellas can also be used on the verandas on the top floor of each villa which enjoy most beautiful views of the coast, of the Aegean Sea, and of the bay of Rethymnon including Cape Scaleta in the East.

The swimming pools are operated from mid April until October, depending on the weather conditions.
